In order for the yankees to reasurre their dominence over baseball they must focus on pitching pitching and more pitching. as we all no pitching wins championships and you can never have enough pitching. In order to meet their pitching needs the yankees will need to make a few moves.

1.Sign C.C Sabathia- as we all know the best pitcher available this winter.

2. Sign one of the following pitchers A.J burnett/Brad Penny/Ben Sheets/Derek Lowe/Mike Mussina(who ever you can get)

3. Trade for Jake Peavy - remember the last time the yankees failed to pull the trigger on a great superstar pitcher. oh ya they failed to make the playoffs. I dont think we'll really miss Huges and Kennedy if we end up with Jake Peavy.

If the Yankees make these moves their rotation would be

  1. C.C Sabathia
  2. Jake Peavy
  3. CHen Ming-Wang
  4. A.J Burnett/Sheets/Brad Penny/Derek Lowe/Mussina
  5. Joba Chamberlain

thats a pretty good rotation dont you think. Advice for cashman-dont be afraid to trade!

The Yankees should not go after Jake Peavy. I have several reasons for this opinion. First, I think I read somewhere that Peavy's mechanics are not ideal, and that it was these mechanics that may have led to him having soreness near his elbow and some scouts are saying that there is a very good chance that Peavy will injure himself later on. Second, the Yankees need to consider that Peavy has been pitching in an absolute pitchers park, in the National League, and in the National League's weakest division. If he goes to the Yankees, he'll be going to the toughest divsion in the American league (no dispute about that), to a total hitters park, especially for lefties, and in case no one's noticed, the defense of the Yankees is not exactly bulletproof. Peavy did not do as well on the road this year, I think is ERA was 4.28, I think that is what it said on the Padres website. Also, in his interleague start at Yankee Stadium, he gave up three earned runs in four innings. Lastly, the Padres are going to want top prospects from the Yankees or another club, and even then Peavy has a no trade clause, and he already has several more years on his contract. So the Yankees would have to go really long term and offer a lot of money for this guy. Santana and Sabathia may or may not be worth it, but I do not think that Jake Peavy is. Sorry that this is so long.

even if peavy went down with injury we would stil have a great rotation. we would fill in his spot with Alfredo Aceves, or maybe andrew brackman if he's ready.

the yankees will get all of this pitching. and put that with the lineup and feilding they already have and they will win the World Series in the new stadium
