Week 11 Picks
Denver +6.5 @ Atlanta - Very interesting line here. The broncos are short handed at RB, but have a high powered passing attack. Do the Falcons and Matt Ryan have enough to keep up...i say yes. Although im taking the 6.5 points since Elam is Questionable, and i believe Jay Cutler,Brandon Marshall and Eddie Royal find a way to keep it close. Atlanta 27 - Denver 23
Oakland +10 @ Miami - I could go homer pick and say Miami routes the Raiders but like Lee Corso says "Not so fast my friend!" The Dolphins barely beat a banged up Seattle team, now face a awful Raiders team traveling East. Trapt game written all over this game. Jamarcus Russell is out, Walter is in. I smell something fishy in the line Miami 24 - Oakland 16
Baltimore +7 @ NYG - A very well balenced team vs a strong defensive team with a rookie QB. Brandon Jacobs should have a very hard time doing anything in this game since the Ravens rank tops atop the NFL in rushing yards allowed. I dont think Joe Flacco is going to survive the G-Men pass rush, i look for a can of **** whooping in this one. Giants 35 - Ravens 17
Houston +8 @ Indy - The last time these two teams met the Texans blew what was maybe the worst lead ive seen since the Bills/Oilers game way back in the day. Mr. Sage will not make this many dumb turnovers this sunday, so i look for the Texans to cover the 8. Indy seems back after last Sunday's win over the Steelers but these two teams always play it close. Indy 28 - Houston 21
Chicago +3.5 @ Green Bay- The bears had their hands full last week vs the Titans, and who knows if the physical game carries over to this one. I don't think it will, since the Bears know this is must win football game. I love the way Matt Forte has run the ball this year, but the question lies with Kyle Orton's ankle. He wasnt moving all that great in practice, so this could be a huge issue with Kampman putting pressure on the QB. Still i believe the points are too much, and the Bears win outright. Chicago 21 - Green Bay 17
Philly - 9 @ Cincy - I wont waste much time rambling on why the Eagles make lunch meat out of the Bungals. Brian Westbrook is the answer. Philly 41 - Cincy 20
New Orleans -5.5 @ KC - Drew Brees is licking his lips, and its never tasted so good. The saints will be without Reggie Bush, but thats no issue Sunday. The Chiefs are playing better football, but a rifle arm is going to keep them sidelined,battered and bruised. Saints 27 - Chiefs 20
Detriot +14 @ Carolina - Wow does any team get a better 2 game stretch than the Panthers are having here with Oakland & Detriot? The line seems high, but the Panthers are a good football team. Dont bet the house on the spread, but take a chance. Carolina 28 - Detriot 10
Minnesota +5 @ Tampa - Probably the hardest matchup to pick this week. You want to say the Buc's should cover this no problem, but with a banged up Ernest Graham,Caddilac and Dunn who runs the ball Jeff Garcia? I love the Vikings run defense either way, and Adrian Peterson. Im going to "gamble" and take the points. Tampa 27 - Minnesota 24
St Louis +6 @ San Fran - No Steven Jackson again this week for the Rams. They've yet to establish any sort of ground game without him. Im not sold on Marc Bulger carrying the Rams, so i look for alot of Frank Gore in this one. 49ers 24 - Rams 17
Arizona - 3 @ Seattle - Ok this is the line that Vegas says go ahead drop $10,000 on. Why would the Card's be giving only 3 to a Seattle team that cant do anything right? Im taking the Card's big here, and a heavy bet as well. The only thing that can slow Warner n Co down is the rain. Arizona 37 - Seattle 21
Tenn - 3 @ Jacksonville - Another line that seems iffy? All day the Titans cover the 3. No need to get into full detail. Lendale White & Chris Johnson run for about 190 combined and the defense does its thing. Titans 20 - Jag's 10
San Diego +5.5 @ Pitt - The Steelers are looking to bounce back after last weeks loss to the Colts and should have no trouble this week vs the Chargers. Pittsburgh defense is going to humiliate Phillip Rivers n LT all day. I look for 5 sacks,2 int's. Pitt 27 - SD 17
Dallas - 1 @ Washington - Tony Romo is back, and Clinton Portis is a mess. Romo coming back only means that Marion Barber should finally find some running room after being gobbled up for the last 4 weeks. I look for Romo to stretch the field with TO & RW for some huge plays. Portis being hurt is a major blow that the Redskins wont be able to over come, even at home. Dallas 30 - Washington 21
* Monday Night*
Cleveland +5.5 @ Buffalo - Brady Quinn looked impressive last week vs Denver in his first NFL start. Now he takes centerstage on MNF, is he ready? Buffalo is going in the tank fast and they need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive as well as the AFC EAST title. The Browns have been holding teams in check with a good defense, and i will look for Jamal Lewis to run often. Brady Quinn has 2 td's,1 int - but gets his first NFL WIN, in the UPSET! Cleveland 24 - Buffalo 23
