The Anaheim Ducks have annouced the signing of Mathieu Schneider to a two year deal. Now this can mean one of two things for the Ducks. One, it could mean that Scotty Nieds is hanging them up and going out on top, and Mathieu is the replacement for Scotty and Prongs and Beauchmin will play the top line for the Ducks. Secondly, it means the Ducks owners have given Burkey free range on spending and have brought in another stud d-man to give the Ducks what has to be the Best NHL Defense in the history of the NHL. Niedermayer, Pronger, Schneider, Beauchmin, O'Donnel, (Huskins, Jackman, Dipenta).
Myself, personally, think it is option 2. I believe Scotty Nieds will come back to the Ducks and provide them with the best Defense the NHL has ever seen. Selanne i think will be back as well too, seeing what Burke has put on the back line. Can you image just how happy JS Giguere is knowing the type of talent that is in front on him.
Nieds and Selanne come back the Cup will be staying for another year in Anaheim
