Since when has being in the Top 12 in anything with 119+ bad? It means there are 106 teams that you are better than. So why are the fans of Georgia, Florida, Ohio St., USC, and other traditionally top schools complaining? Because they take the BCS for granted.
Granted like Americans are for everything they have. You filthy pigs. You say you want a playoff system and that you hate the bowls. You wish that instead of destroying Hawai'i in the Sugar Bowl, you should be fighting for a National Championship. I have something to say to you fellow NCAAF fans, do you have any idea what it is like to be a fan of a team that goes to medium bowls usually? In the past two bowl games Maryland has been in, they played Purdue in the CHAMPS SPORTS BOWL in 2006. In 2007, they played Oregon St. in the EMERALD BOWL. Do you know how annoying it is when we teams of the -25 yet +50 hear you complain? Us teams that feel we are good enough to be in consideration but aren't, and have to settle for these bowls that some aren't even on National TV.
Personally, I feel that you snobs in the top 12 (that means you Pete Carroll) need to seriously SHUT UP. I'd kill for Maryland to get into a major bowl game like in 2001. But some say that the NCAA should get rid of the smaller bowls all together. That would mean on the usual season, my teams season stops in early December. I just would want to be in a BCS bowl, let alone win or even be in the National Championship. I heard LSU fans complaining this off season say that you need to find a QB. I even read a blog saying there is this radio station that doesn't cover LSU, just some DII school. Oh that sucks ONE MEDIA OUTLET DOESN'T COVER YOUR TEAM EVEN THOUGH EVERY F***ING ANALYST ON ESPN COVERS YOU AND YOU ONLY!!!!! The Baltimore Sun doesn't even cover the Terps on a regular basis and when they do, I find them in the way back of the sports section.
So, some advise, shut the f*** up or I'll be knocking at your door ready to fight.

Ok i agree that most people have no reason to complain. It seems that you were mainly upset with SEC teams which i dont really understand. Big 12 has their fair share of top 12 spots too but i didnt hear Texas Tech or OU or any other team mentioned. The only teams brought up were LSU and my beloved Dawgs. (Yes i got the sugar bowl reference) I support the playoff system because in it they best teams will play in the big games. Just like in the college world series last season. Fresno state had practically no chance of winning but they proved everyone wrong and beat UGA for the title. Personally i dont have a problem with your Terps. If i see them playing anyone other than an SEC team then i will cheer for them. I just dont like it when you get your feelings hurt that your team never makes a big game. I know its frustrating just like i get frustrated hearing LSU complain after taking 2 of the last 3 NCs. UGA hasnt had one in 28 yrs. Everyone wants their team to have the oportunity to get in a big game but sometimes teams just arent deserving of those spots. Maryland may be good but until they can consistantly beat teams from the 3 major conferences they will stay in the mini-bowls. Its just life and it would help to stop complaining about other people complaining. They're just voicing their opinions just like you.

Some stats for you, Maryland has been in 1 BCS game. It hasn't been 28 years for the terps, more like 54.

Ok, just to make the argument more interesting. I did a little research and discovered this: In the past 4 seasons your Terps have been 8-18 against ranked opponents. The only convincing wins being 26-0 stomping of Wake Forrest this season and a 12 point win over Virginia in 2005. Honestly, a 3 point win over NC State and 14-7 win over delaware isnt that impressive. As i mentioned in my last comment. Until Maryland can consistantly defeat quality ranked opponents they dont deserve a top bowl game. I'm not even going to say UGA deserves a good bowl after their performance at Florida and Auburn. I'm going to go ahead and say how about we agree to disagree before this turns into a throwdown. I wont complain about the dawgs not getting to the NC and you'll keep being a loyal fan to your team. That way everyone will be at least somewhat happy.
