This is one of the most hectic weeks of my life in high school. Work on projects, do homework, try to figure out Romeo & Juliet, and then attempt to find time for FanNation. I've done all of this with a cold. This chaos won't last long, as I have the ENTIRE week off next week for Thanksgiving (expect a bunch of blogs from me).

Now to the matter at hand: There are now 3 more head coaching jobs open in FBS. Utah State and Syracuse fired their head coaches and longtime New Mexico head coach Rocky Long resigned. So, since I'm so busy, I will only name five candidates for each job instead of going into full detail about each.

                                Syracuse

                          1. Lane Kiffin, former Oakland HC
                          2. Turner Gill, Buffalo HC
                          3. Lloyd Carr, former Michigan HC
                          4. Randy Edsall, UConn HC

                          5. Darkhorse Pick:
                              Paul Pasqualoni,former Syracuse HC

                                Utah State

                      1. John L. Smith, former Michigan State HC
                      2. Andy Ludwig, Utah OC
                      3. Danny Langsdorf, Oregon State OC
                      4. Joe Glenn, Wyoming HC
                      5. Darkhorse Pick: (Really everyone is a                           darkhorse pick for this job!)
                           DeWayne Walker, UCLA DC

                              New Mexico

                       1. Dennis Franchione, former TCU HC
                       2. Dave Baldwin, OC
                       3. Guy Morris, former Baylor HC
                       4. Sonny ****, Arizona OC
                      5. Darkhorse Pick: Joe Glenn, Wyoming HC

Wow, you have some obscure topics. Syracuse is remotely interesting, and Pasqualoni wasn't exactly a hero when he coached there. He was just adequate. The Buffalo coach is most likely since he is in close proximity and he could improve his position going into a BCS coaching job which needs help and has low expectations. Why would Lloyd Carr lower himself to the job of Syracuse after years at Michigan? Are turnarounds his specialty?

It was rumored earlier this year that Lloyd Carr was talking to Syracuse about becoming HC.
