With a season of key injuries, Beanie Wells, who I think is still the best RB in the country, to having a true freshman take over a qb, an o line that is well, not good...a defense that is very good, not bad for a team that has been the laughing stock of college football.  This fan would like to see my Bucks win a bcs game and win of course against an SEC team...finally get that monkey off our backs.....lets take care of business this weekend and beat Michigan and yes, I am pulling for Michigan St to beat Penn St.......so...GO BUCKS!!!!  GO Michigan ST!!!!!

it wouldn't be a good thing...

Realistically, their only chance is if Oregon State loses and USC wins the PAC 10, or if PSU loses to MSU.

As for the SEC monkey - OSU is likely to face that in the CAP1 bowl.

...or is all the undefeated mid-majors lose one of their final games.

I'd rather see the Bucks in the Cap One

November 21, 2008  01:42 PM ET

GO BUCKS!!!! One or more of the top 3 teams will lose in the next 2 weeks, one of them may have 2 losses, that would be the Gators....

I agree.

If they make the BCS, they are talking about match-ups against the champ of the Big East or ACC - looking towards next season, these are 'Nothing to gain, everything to lose" match up for tOSU.

The Cap 1 could be a much better development game for the younger players.

Side note: It doesn't mean much to me, but how would you like to be the fan of the SEC team to lose to tOSU?

What do AL, TX, FL, OK, USC, TT, PSU and Utah all have in common. They all have beat exactly 3 top 25 teams. Only two are currently undefeated. If Florida beats AL. The Utes should be able to play for the NT. Argue against this dude.

The Buckeyes have had great success in bcs games. Unfortunately, that bcs game was the nc for the past two years. That doesn't mean that they should be left out of a bcs game. Both of the Buckeyes losses have been against USC & Penn St, both have lost against unranked teams, as well as the Gators, losing to an unranked team. We remain #10, when Boise State barely beats unranked Nevada. We being punished for the past two NC games. Final note, the bucks have not been to a non-bcs bowl game since 2004, the Alamo Bowl with a 8-4 record. We now have a 10-2 record and possibly not going to a bcs game? How many of these non-bcs teams have played top 10 teams? The same goes for the ACC & Big East, PAC-10.

The Buckeyes have more 5th year seniors and 3 or 4 first round draft picks that stayed in school. I never wanted another NC after the past two years, but a bcs game for a storied and among the top 3 winning programs in the country should get an at-large bid. I am concerned about trying to stay away from an SEC team, want to win against an SEC team now, so we can put that mess to rest. GO BUCKS!!!

6 posts - 3 are this exact same statement literally copied again and again and again

...and they wonder why we call them mindless newbies?

If they don't get an invite, I can't complain a lot looking at who likely will:

-USC
-A 2nd team from the B12 South
-Bama or Florida
-The best off the rest (might as well give them 1 - that way when they get clobbered a few more times we can stop hearing about them in the NC game every time they go undefeated.

This will happen, someone is going to lose in the SEC title game, someone is going to lose in the big 12 championship game as well. Texas Tech should have fallen more than 5 spots as well, 65-21????

This is not the same team that lost to USC....no Beanie Wells in that game, out 3 games, playing 50% and still rushing for 1000 yards...he will be rested....true freshman dual threat qb...the Buckeyes are not afraid of anyone....the best of the rest you say? USC lost to an unranked team, so did Penn St and Florida....and by the way who is really playing lights out cfb these days? Answer: No one....this year anyone can win any given day....just ask the 3 top 10 teams mentioned.....at least when we did lose, we lost to the #1 and #3 teams in the country...unlike USC, Penn St and Florida. We'll see who clobbers who, bcs bowls come out 7 Dec.....GO BUCKS!!!

November 25, 2008  04:30 PM ET

Hey, the heck with a bcs game, doesn't make me any $$$$....if Oregon St beats Oregon, the Bucks will more than likely be playing GA in the Cap 1, that will do it for me....an SEC team, who was ranked #1 and the Bucks who were ranked #2....

Oh well, looks like we get in a bcs game after all. But the bcs may change the rules and let Utah play Boise St....never know.....no way Texas should be out of the Big 12 Championship...no way Mizzo can beat Oklahoma...what a trip.....
