Dodgers made a big offer to Sabathia- good move. They need a #1 ace more than they need Manny. Manny will fill more seats and give the media something to do, but all things considered, getting the #1 starter is most important.
We can only pray he doesn't turn into Jason Schmidt
It would be good to sign Furcal, but not to the five year offers he seems to be getting from other teams. He's a good sparkplug at the top of the order, but his fielding is abysmal and he missed 80% of last year.
Give Colletti some credit- Even his bad signings are never long term deals. Are we still paying Kevin Brown?
Jeff Kent's agent is putting out a trial balloon to see if anyone's interested. Just sya no. Anyone in desparate need of some power or a middle infielder it may be worth a try, but even if that category includes the Dodgers, they shouldn't bite. His bat speed is gone, as is his range, and the 2007 clubhouse meltdown describes his leadership capabilities.
All in all, he did a good job for us, but it's time to move on.
I know I said to sign Lowe, but if he's asking for Barry Zito money, see ya. Pay a little more and get C.C.

I have heard the dodgers talk to cc's agent but no offer was made , how did you confirm this ?...anyhow i agree cc should be priority #1 .I would bring back furcal@ 2years with a higher salary maybe 14 or 15 per to make him bite,(back surgery major concern despite what others might say).Would love to see dodgers swing a deal and bring back beltre. Lowe would be a great fall back plan if cc signs with the yankees, but it has been well publicized lowe does not want to play on the west coast ,maybe a cheaper Ben sheets can also fill that void.
