Hi, my name's Justine, and I'm addicted to college football. I'm also addicted to fun technology like the Internet and ESPN, that let me get my college football fix whenever I need it, particularly on Saturdays during the fall. So now, coming up on a huge weekend college football-wise, I find myself out of the loop. My craptastic cable/Internet provider (note of advice: make sure yours are separate!) has once again failed to supply me with the all-important, round-the-clock access to which I have become accustomed. I missed the Miami-Georgia Tech game last night. I'm not getting Internet back until sometime tomorrow (although they said that two days ago). The situation is dire.
Although, despite all the ranting and raving I did on the phone with customer service, I actually won't need my tv to see one of this week's biggest games - Florida State @ Maryland. I mean, who needs ESPN when you're going to be at the game, in the stands, hoping the Terps can pull off the win and get one step closer to the ACC Championship? TV? Please. I'd much rather be outside freezing my cute butt off in the 20 degree weather. A Terps win will make it all worthwhile. Blackout '08, here I come.
Of course, this means I'll be missing the other huge game this weekend, Texas Tech @ Oklahoma. Not ideal, since my sister, my companion for tomorrow's game, is the biggest OU fan outside of the state of Oklahoma. So everyone who's lucky enough to be sitting around tomorrow night watching the game? Root for the Sooners for us, will ya?
