Illinois and Northwestern are playing the last game of their Tomahawk Trophy. They want to eliminate all Indian stuff from their Athletic Program. But are the Indians, sorry, Native Americans asking for this? No, Illinios and NW just went ahead and did this. I feel that the world desperately needs to be a lot less politically correct. I mean, it is fact that all CB and RB in the NFL are black, in D1 football, there is only 1 black, sorry, African American, kicker, it is a fact. This rivalry started in 1947; and your saying they should end it because they feel bad? You get rid of the name of your mascot because it is too edgy? It is just a name! The truth of the matter is that the world needs to lighten up.

The name of the state "Illinois" is of Native American origins as are many other of our state and county names. How long will Central Michigan be allowed to use Chippewas as their mascot? Why is it a sense of pride to some and demeaning to others?. If we have to change the names of all our mascots that have Native American roots shouldn't we also change all the place names with Native American roots as well?
