Devin Harris. That name is finally getting some respect around the NBA and the sports world.

The Nets have won 4 of their past 5 games, losing only to one of the best teams in the league, the Lebron James Cleveland Cavs. The Nets are finally learning how important Harris is to their team even in the present going 0-3 without him and 6-3 with him, most notably 4-1 since he came back from the ankle injury he suffered in Detroit. He also had 5 straight games with 20+ points, until the game last night where he had 18(he also had 10 assists). He is averaging a whooping 23.9 pp, which is good for 9th best in the NBA, and 6.2 assists per game, which is above average and would be top ten in the league if he played more than 8 games. His steals are impressive too at 1.4 per game. Harris has become the true fantasy beast that everyone(including me) thought he would become as well. I suggest you trade for him or sell high on the Devin Harris craze.

Now the big question here is, can the Nets keep it up?? Well, the OT win over the Raptors in Toronto, which was huge for their confidence, and the convincing rout of the Clippers the day after really could be the answer. However, games like the Cleveland game in which the Nets scored a dismal 30 points in the second half prove otherwise.Yi Jianlian's emergence in the Clippers game(27 and 6) and Brook Lopez's outstanding play in Josh Boone's absence really are promising and if they can keep it up, this might be a playoff team.

The upcoming game against the Lakers in LA, against Kobe Bryant, could really tell us a lot about this squad. Be sure to check my blog on Tuesday, November 25, for the preview of that game. It will include X-Factors, player matchups, and a prediction of the score.
