This Sunday, before the Giants and Redskins square off @ FedEx, there will be a ceremony enshrining Sean Taylor into the Washington Ring of Fame.
Today marks one year since the senseless murder of Sean Taylor. I could go back and research the blogs I wrote at the time, as well as the blog I wrote after returning from the Buffalo game (the day before the funeral)...the game, incidentally, where Joe Gibbs had his "brain fart" that cost the Skins the game.
(I'm sure if you got off your butts, you'd go and look. LMAO)
But to get back "on topic", it's been a year. It doesn't lessen the shock, the horror, the anger or the pain of this.
Listen, it's not Canton...but putting #21 where he rightfully belongs is a first step towards healing that shock, horror, etc. I just wish I were there in person on Sunday. Alas, it's not to be.
But for anyone who WILL be there, let the world hear you. Good and loud. Then direct your attention to the game...and if you read my blog about the behavior of one particular Skins fan who ruined the Dallas game for my brother and me, TRY to behave, all right?? It's hypocritical to take the moral high ground about fan behavior, when it's YOUR fans (at home!!!) screwing it up for everybody else.
You're honoring Sean Taylor, for Christ's sake. Or does that even matter to anyone any more??
