The performance of Terrell Owens is the best way to sum up this game. His 213 yards on 7 receptions must rank among the best performances by a wide-receiver in recent memory. Where it is true that the San Francisco 49ers did not pose an enormous threat, based on past game performances (at the St. Louis Rams), the Cowboys did well to win in convincing fashion (22-35). Tony Romo continued to return to his old self with a near 60% completion/attempt ratio, 341 yards, and 3 touchdowns. The Cowboys needed this win in more ways than one. For them to stand any chance of making the playoffs with the wild-card, they have to finish the season strong, with possibly an 11-5 record. Atlanta, Carolina, and the Redskins are all vying for the two wild-card spots available, and I expect it to go down to the last game of the season, where the Cowboys travel to the Eagles.
