Important Info

During the tourney, ONLY Tourney TD Zings will be eligible for the Top 10 Zing lists. All TDs outside of the tourney will be temporarily ineligible.

The goal in the tourney is to put forth the best argument and win based on arguments (like in any TD). Voters should vote based on arguments. How much zinging you do along the way is your choice.

There are TWO overall 'titles' at stake.

1. The Zing Tourney Championship: Goes to the person that progresses through all 5 rounds and wins the tourney. (Ironicially, this championship could be won without even putting forth a single Zinger along the way.)

2. King of the Zing: Goes to the person that racks up the most Zing points during the tourney. (The more rounds that you advance through, the more opportunities you obviously have to rack up Zing points.) However, one could certainly win the King of the Zing title without making it to the late rounds if one gets a big enough point lead early on.

Rules

1. Higher seed chooses topic AND goes first.

2. Please title your TD as follows: "Zing Tourney '08: Round X: [Insert topic here]"

3. When you start your TD, please FM the link to YODA or Oilers NHI (or put the link to your TD in the thread below).

4. IMPORTANT: Participants are NOT to FM their TDs to their friends, etc. during the tourney. The Zinger Staff will be promoting the TDs on group mail and in other blogs. (Partipants that break this rule are subject to immediate expulsion from the tourney). --- Please don't groupmail the TD link either - We'll cover it.
