After reading many posts about who was robbed and why concerning the Big12 south race, I had one thought. There is a team much more likely to be robbed than either of those 3. Alabama.
It seems highly likely that Alabama will lose to Florida in the SEC Championship game on Saturday. Assuming this is the case they will watch any NC hopes go out the window and will be stuck watching a from home while a less deserving team plays in Miami. The best scenario would be for Oklahoma to beat Missouri. This would make a Florida-Oklahoma game reasonable. However, if Oklahoma loses, then who should go?
Texas is the most likely candidate. But how do you take a team who a.) didn't play in their own championship game (see Georgia 2007) and b.) Lost to a lower ranking opponent (#7 vs. #4)
Texas Tech is in the same boat. However they do have a better case due to the fact that they lost to a higher ranked opponent (#5 vs. #7), and seeing as they ran the tables on Texas most of the game.
Anyone else. All the other one loss teams are in the same situation. Penn State did win their conference, but lost to an unranked opponent. USC, same thing. Utah/Boise are both unbeaten and both won their conferences, but I don't think anyone wants to see a BCS buster in Miami.
So in the end, Alabama will, after going undefeated in the regular season, and staying atop the polls longer than any team this year (5 weeks at No. 1 and 5 weeks at #2) could possibly watch a team who lost to a lower ranked opponent and didn't even participate in their conference championship game, go to Miami over a team whose only loss came to a powerful rivalry in a conference championship game who is ranked No. 4 (should be 2 or 3).
Now that doesn't seem fair either right?

I disagree. If Alabama loses the SEC Championship game, I don't see them being robbed of anything. If I read between the lines, it seems you're suggesting that if the Tide loses they should still be in the NC. Sorry but I don't share that idea.

First ya cant lose late and expect to get topflight consideration (texas) and secondly ..the didnt win their conference championship should not hold any sway until all the BCS conferences have to play a championship game. If Oklahoma loses then texas as the next in line should get the nod.(even tho they lost late they didnt drop that far) These problems stem partially from teams not moving up in logical progression, like it was before BCS, and people that win shouldnt drop in the polls...they won. All year longs people jumped teams around in the polls like idiots...when texas won the OU game they shouldnt have went to #1 they should have took their turn and moved up one slot. The jumping teams around crap early started all this crap....texas didnt complain when the jumped to #1 when there were other unbeatens ahead of them in the polls at the time, but they are crying now. Florida and USC would have dropped out (and should have) of the top 10 if they lost to unranked teams pre-BCS. We need to follow the rules of logical progression. That would do away with alot of the controversy of late.....take your turn at what ever slot your in and move up when the team or teams in front of you lose, and stop jumping teams around a bunch of slots, move up one at a time(or more if several teams lose in front of you).

Actually Texas did complain when they jumped to #1 and questioned it.
Mack Brown himself said that Alabama should be #1 and Texas #2

Alabama should beat Florida if they wanna go. Texas should have beat Tech if they wanted to go. Oklahoma should have beat Texas if they wanted to go. Florida shouldn't have lost to Ol' Miss if they wanted to go. Seems like no one really wants to go, so why're we still argueing about it?

They called Mac Brown, not the other way around.
I just hope Florida beats Alabama and gives us a TX-OU rematch. Besides, that would free up a BCS slot for Tech...

Sadly only 2 teams per conference is the rule.....Tech does deserve a BCS game tho ...they are an excellent football team and the game vs texas wasnt as close as the score looked either
