Well here I am again and as Cowboy crazy as ever. I just wanted to let you all know that everyone in the world is hyping this Steelers/Cowboys game as the Dallas last chance as if we don't have three games to play after that. I would prefer that Dallas win this game but it is against an AFC team (one that I despise nonetheless) but an AFC team all the same. The Cowboys' remaining games that matter most: Giants, Eagles.
If Dallas wins those two games it would be very hard for them to miss the playoffs considering the Falcons position. Let me explain. If the Falcons and Cowboys lose this week both will have the same record but the Falcons would lose the tie-breaker to the Cowboys because the Cowboys would then have a better conference record. The Falcons have 4 games left against NFC teams...@ Saints, vs. Bucs, @ Vikings, vs. St. Louis. The Cowboys have two NFC, two AFC so they have to win their NFC games at least if they go 10-6. Now I don't want Dallas going to Philly with the playoffs on the line so hopefully from a Cowboys perspective they can finish 3-1 and make it to 11-5. If the Falcons go 11-5 well then they deserve to go to the playoffs. But unless the Redskins or Eagles go on a crazy winning streak and finish 4-0 down the stretch it will most likely be the Falcons or Cowboys.
THE IMPORTANCE OF STEELER GAME:
I am in no way discounting the importance of this game, I was only pointing out that the NFC games are far more vital. If Dallas should win in the cold and muck against a team like Pitt. on the road then this could be the game that springs them with a full head of steam into the playoffs. It will be a playoff atmosphere and if you can beat the Steelers on the road in December then you have a good chance of doing the same against the Giants in January. They win this game and their confidence will be sky high and that will carry over against the Giants who will be coming off of two NFC EAST games. This game could be the spark that they need.
KEYS TO THE GAME
1. Good Romo or bad Romo- Romo has a problem holding on to the ball when rushers come off of the edge. He cannot afford to hold the ball too long or try to make too much happen. The Steelers are not going to hang 35 on you so he must make good choices. If he doesn't, well it's going to be a long day.
2. Good Ben or bad Ben- Did you see him give the game away to the Colts and Giants? Don't be fooled into thinking that D. WARE won't play and Dallas will try to force him into mistakes. BUT like Romo, Big Ben has very good pocket awarness and he is hard to bring down.
3. What gimpy running back will show up? As always the field @ Pitt. will be horrible so whoever (Willie or Marion) has the bigger game will likely get the W.
