Yesterday I was able to watch the most exciting SEC Championship Game that I can recall. The game winner would move on to the National Championship game. The game went back and forth early, and a five yard TD pass from Tim Tebow to David Nelson gave the Gators a 17-10 lead at the half. Bama came out of the half on fire, driving 91 yards and scoring on a two yard run by Mark Ingram. Bama then kicked a field goal on its next drive to put them up by 3. From that point on, Florida was in control. They scored 14 unanswered, off of a 1 yard run by Jeffery Demps and then a 5 yard catch by Riley Cooper. John Parker Wilson threw an interception late, allowing Florida to run the clock out and win the SEC Championship and most likely move on to the National Championship.

I believe that Alabama should be commended for how they played for most of the game. They really kept the game close until the 4th quarter. I know that's really not want Tide fans want to hear, but better than nothing.
Is Tebow now a front runner for the Heisman? I believe so. I really didn't have a favorite to win the award before, but I thought Tebow didn't have a chance. Now I like his chance at the award for a second time a little better. He had a great game, going 14-22 and throwing for 3 TDs and 0 INTs. This year, there are too many great players to decide from. Great players will be going home with nothing. I can't wait to see who winds up winning this year's Heisman.
