Here were my 33 bowl picks for 2008. I am 17-16 overall in bowl games. I have had a great year with an average bowl round this year but I enjoyed the upsets. I finished 263-96 overall.
Chick-fil-A:
LSU vs. Georgia Tech- If GT shows up like they did against Georgia.. ugly game. LSU might keep it interesting- Georgia Tech- Incorrect (Glad I was wrong)
Outback:
South Carolina vs. Iowa- Poor game to watch but SC better team, could be close- South Carolina- Incorrect.. talk about not showing up...wow!
Capital One:
UGA vs. Michigan State- MSU no joke but UGA will win with their strong offense. Defense will keep MSU in game- UGA- Correct
Gator:
Clemson vs. Nebraska- Two even teams with building programs. This will be a close game- Coin Flip- Clemson- Incorrect
Liberty:
Kentucky vs. East Carolina- Kentucky is rebuilding and edge goes to a decent over ranked EC team- East Carolina- Incorrect
International:
Bufflao vs. Connecticut- Might be close but Connecticut has my vote- Connecticut- Correct
GMAC:
Tulsa vs. Ball State- Who knows how good Ball State or Tulsa really is?? Coin Flip- Ball State- wow... what an upset but clearly Ball State was over ranked. Tulsa came to play.
Holiday:
Oklahoma State vs. Oregon- It might be a good decent game but OSU solid team and probally will win big.- Oklahoma State- Incorrect
Armed Forces:
Houston vs. Air Forces- Coin Flip- Air Force- Incorrect
Sun:
Oregon State vs. Pitt- Two evenly matched teams but edge goes to Pitt- Pitt- Incorrect
Music City:
BC vs. Vandy- Both teams had weird inconsistent seasons but BC finshed much better overall- BC- Incorrect
Insight:
Kansas vs. Minnestota- Not sure which team will show up either way but edge goes to KU's QB- KU- Correct
Eagle Bank:
Wake Forest vs. Navy- Coin Flip- Wake Forest- Correct
New Mexico:
Colorado St. vs. Fresno St. Edge goes to Fresno St. overall- Fresno State- Incorrect
Magic Jack:
Memphis vs. South Florida- Coin Flip- South Florida- Correct
Las Vegas:
BYU vs. Arizona- BYU better team overall- BYU- Incorrect
New Orleans:
Southern Miss vs. Troy- Southern Miss- Correct
Poinsetta:
Boise State vs. TCU- Should be a great matchup and close, shootout- Boise State-Incorrect
Sheraton Hawaii:
Hawaii vs. ND- Wow.. ND in a bowl.. Hawaii down this year and though it will be ugly.. ND has the edge- Notre Dame- Correct
Motor City:
Fla Atlantic vs. Central Michigan- Central Michigan- Incorrect
Meineke:
West Virginia vs. North Carolina- I would love a NC win but WV Qb's last game will be a win- West Virginia- Correct
Champs:
Wisconsin vs. FSU- FSU up and down, this will be a win- FSU- Correct
Emerald:
Miami vs. Cal- Cal better team- Cal- Correct
Independance:
North Illinois vs. Ltech- ???Coin Flip.. I will go with North Illinois- North Illinois- Correct
Papa Johns:
NC State vs. Rutgers- probally will turn out very close- Rutgers- Correct
Valero Alamo:
Missouri vs. Northwestern- Missouri will rebound and blow this team out- Missouri- Correct
Humanitarian:
Maryland vs. Nevada- Maryland- Correct
Texas:
Rice vs. West Michigan- West Michigan- Incorrect
BCS Games:
Rose:
USC vs. Penn State- Two solid teams. Should be a great game but USC will win this game.- USC- Correct
Sugar:
Utah vs. Bama- Alabama- Bama- Incorrect
Fiesta:
Texas vs. Ohio State- I would love to see this will be close but Ohio State has real Defense issues and Texas will win big- Texas- Correct
Orange:
Cincy vs. Virginia Tech- Probally a close game but edge goes to coaching- VT- Correct
National Championship (TBD):
Florida vs. Oklahoma- 5 point or less finish- It seems fitting that two teams in the two best ranked conferences play. Oklahoma brings a decent defense with an explosive offense, QB will win top award. Florida brings a past award winner and probally runner-up winner this year, they have a solid defense with an explosive offense, when Harvin is healthy. I do think it will be a shootout but in the end I believe Florida will win and keep the SEC as champs in the title game. If Oklahoma is even in the 4th.. could be a great finish.- Florida

Not as good as last years upsets but it was a great year overall. Another year it is clear we need playoffs but the debate gets old.. enjoy the bowl games.

Congrats on a great year! I followed every week and you had amazing picks! I think the bowl games may have a few surprizes.. Okalhoma beats Florida and Hawaii beats ND.. I pretty much agree with the rest. If Florida plays Oklahoma like they did Bama...it could get ugly for the gators.

Harvin was out.. he brings speed and leadership.. they are a much better team with Harvin.. watch and see. As far as ND, that could happen, but unlikely.

I think you have a really solid group of picks. The only one of your picks that I am strongly leaning against is the Iowa/S. Carolina game.

It could go either way.. knowing Carolina.. anything could happen. If they play like they did against Clemson..your right. The old ball coach usually shows up in bowl games.

I thought Wisconsin woulda done better in that game. It was pretty evenly matched in the 1st half, but FSU murdered them the rest of the way.
