Exciting time when we head into the bowl season. Even more exciting that finals week is almost here, and thus ends the semester. But that's not the point. The point is the bowl game my beloved Wisconsin Badgers are in..against my second favorite college football team the Florida State Seminoles.
I'll obviously be rooting for the Badgers, but this game scares me so much as a Badger fan. Granted FSU is nowhere near what they used to be, but they still have the athletes. This season has left such a bitter taste in my mouth as a Badger fan, I want this year to end well. But, we've invented new ways to lose games this year..the time out snafu at Michigan State or the disasterous loss at the Camp to Ohio State..or the complete lack of a 2nd half at Michigan.
At the beginning of the year if you would have polled 100 Badger fans and asked us if we would be happy with playing in the Champ Sports Bowl? I guarantee you all of them would have laughed at you, and said we have BCS expectations this year. Now I'll give you that we Badger fans tend to think a lot higher of ourselves than most non-Badger fans do. We were all pretty spoiled with the Barry Alvarez era..I mean 3-0 in the Rose Bowl. Now with Bret Bielema we all have expectations of what everyone thinks the program should be..and early on in the year they had problems lining up correctly?!
But back to the bowl at hand. It's exciting finally getting to see FSU-Wisc matchup in football. This is a big chance for our offensive line. For most of the year they've been called soft. We need this win for heading into next year. Especially because right now the last memory on most Badger fans minds is the Cal Poly..ummm...does this site still edit "bad" words?
Well, I'll leave you guys with Go Badgers!
