So Romeo won't play any rookies because he wants to win....I wonder if Romeo knows that maybe these rookies (Rucker and Bell) can help the Browns win some games. I see all the other NFL teams playing their rookies, and a lot of those rookies are very successful like Chris Johnson (Titans), Felix Jones before he was hurt (Cowboys), Joe Flacco (Ravens), and Matt Ryan (Falcons). With the except of Joe Thomas and Eric Wright starting last year, maybe Romeo should play his rookies more because they have talent to utilize.
And what's with Romeo always saying things like, "tried to get some things done..." or "He still needs to work on some things." What are these 'things' you speak of? Why do you have to be so criptic? What the heck are you ever talking about? I am very happy that one of the local Cleveland TV stations (19 Action News I think.) has a spot called "Deep Thoughts by Romeo Crennel." It is good to see that the stupid nonsense that comes out of Romeo's mouth is documented in a proper (funny) manner.
Getting back to my original thought, so Rucker remains 3rd in the depth chart at TE, but since K2 is questionable, why not play Rucker? He could be a spark for an offense THAT HASN'T SCORED A TD IN THE LAST 3 GAMES. I understand that he does not know the offense as well as the other TEs on the roster. Unfortunately, he is just another talented player that Romeo would rather have riding the bench (just like Cribbs and Harrison all year) then giving the talent some more offensive snaps.
The Browns defense has been lackluster and hot/cold all season too. Why not play Beau Bell? Again he may be a spark on the defense that gets the other players to play at a higher level, but oh yeah, he's a rookie too.
I just don't understand this guys coaching methods anymore......
.....
....somebody do something.
