YANKEES !!!            12/12/08

The Yankees have gone back to their Dynasty day by

buying all the talent they need in order to win, which

is why I LOVE the YANKEES!!! But enough about me.

The Yanks addressed the main "priority" this off-

season by agreeing to terms with FA CC Sabathia,

the top free agent pitcher avaliable, but they have to

realize that the offense they have now is even worse

than last years. I mean, come on they actually think

that they can score enough runs to win at least 90

games. NO!! They need to start entering the Mark

Teixeira sweepstakes because they really don't have

anybody to compliment AROD in the lineup anymore

because it apears that they will not re-sign Bobby

Abreu and Jason Giambi, who struggled mightly in his

long 7 year tenure in the bronx. By letting Giambi go,

many thought the Yankees would replace the old

washed up #25, no offense to Giambi, with a new,

clean faced, 28 yearold Mark Teixeira, but Mr. Brian

Cashman has others plans. They soon traded for

1B/OF/DH Nick Swisher. EVERY Yankees fan was

upset with Cashman, but reports today on ESPN state

that they Yankees are still a contender for Teixeira,

which is really good news for New Yorkers, like me,

but the Red Sox are rumored to be "really hot" in the

negotiations for Teixeira. I dont think this is true,

because Theo Epstein has to realize 3 things:

1.) Teixeira really doesent fit in that lineup if Lowell

healthy, unless they deal him, which I doubt they

     will.

2.) Teixeira may just be pursued at the Red Sox at

the moment, but as soon as the Yankees fill in

the 2 holes left in the rotation, they are gonna

sign the 1 best, youngest, and most productive

     bat avaliable, aka Mark Teixeira.

3.) Teixeira grew up a Don Mattingly fan... You know

     what that means!!!

If Teixeira really was going to Boston, Epstein would

made an offer to him by now. Teixeira hasnt signed

yet because he is still waiting for the Yankees to

jump in the mix. Even he wants to play on that new

stadium when it opens.

TOP FA's AND WHERE THEY

                Will GO

1.) Mark Teixeira- Yankees or Red Sox

The Yankees and the Red Sox realize the need a real

run producer. Teixeira is gonna wait until he thinks

every team that wants to make an offer has made it,

hopefully its the Yankees.

2.) Manny Ramirez- Dodgers or Angels

Manny's situation will  NOT result in a bidding war.

The Blue Jays are rumored to be in there for Manny,

but J.P. Ricciardi said they will not be big spenders

this offseason. The Dodgers are waiting him out,

but they can't afford to wait forever. The Angels

are realizing as soon as they Yankees are satisfied

with their new rotation, they are gonna jump at Mark

Teixeira, so they may make an offer to him to be

their clean up hitter, behing Vlad Guerrero and right

before Torii Hunter.

3.) A.J. Burnett- Yankees

The Braves arent really willing to offer that 5 year,

and the Yankees have already made that offer to

him. He better stay healthy though.

4.) Adam Dunn- Rangers, Tigers, or Mariners

I doubt the Blue Jays are gonna be contenders due to

GM Ricciardi's comments last summer, the Rays are

leaning towards Milton Bradley, and the Phillies got

thier #1 choice in LF Raul Ibanez. Then there were

the sleepers. The Rangers, Tigers, and Mariners all

lost a key contributor in their lineups, well SS Edgar

Renteria didnt do much, and need a big bopper in

their lineups. Detroit has got Cabrera and trade bait

Magglio Ordonez, oh and future HOFer Sheffield who

has struggled mightely in Motown, and Seattle lost

Ibanez, but it looked like they werent gonna bring

him back anyway. This may be a bidding war, but

for only a 1 year deal, so in that case rule out Texas

and place in the Nats who DIERLY need another bat

in that below par lineup, face it all they have is thier

superstar Ryan Zimmerman who is due for an MVP

any season and sub-par Austin Kearns who would be

superstar as well if he were more consistent. The LA

Angels may jump in, but they are more suited for

a run at Manny. This deal with either the Rangers,

the Mariners, the Angels, the Nationals, or enven the

Detroit Tigers may only be 1 year deal (max 2 yrs)

and probavly wont happen until January.

Dunn will go to the Nationals so no one notices he strikes out a billion times a year. Teixeira will go to the Red Sox because the Sox will offer him more money just to spite the Yanks.
