Here's the moment you've all been waiting for, so let's get down to the business of discussing this book. Winterdance is the true story of author Gary Paulsen's journey into the world of dog-sled racing. From his humble abode in Minnesota, where Paulsen first took to sledding for the purposes of trapping and hunting, to the icy vistas of Seward's Folly, the book is an engaging tale of the author's time as a musher.
But then you all probably knew that already. After all, I did make this book the first FanNation Book Club selection three weeks ago. So without further ado, let's open this up to discussion! I will be in and out throughout the day to gauge everyone's thoughts and to help guide the discussion. We'll be keeping this fairly informal, since our members range from both sides of the pond.
