Welcome to the group and the blog. There's no real rhyme or reason to this group other than that I think that it could be fun. The idea is simple - If you have a question and would like to hear another fan's point of view on the matter, simply FM the question to me or put it up on the discussion board of the group. I'll do a blog every week where I answer 10 questions. I won't place any restrictions on question content as long as it is sports-themed, as I reserve the right to not answer a question in the blog.

This is a group that I have been thinking about for awhile, and I'm hoping to get a good response from it. I don't consider myself to be any more knowledgeable than anyone else, but I enjoy the opportunity to talk about sports, and this seems like a great way to do it. My main area of expertise is baseball. Hockey is my first love, but I am not as knowledgeable about hockey history as many on this site, so I may enlist the help of some of my Canadian FN friends if hockey questions come up. Football is another area that I am well-versed in. Basketball isn't really my forte, but I do follow it enough to know what's going on.

Again, the idea of this is just to have fun with it. If you ever want another fan's perspective on the world of sports, or you would like a history lesson that I can find the answer to, send me your questions. Thanks for joining, and I look forward to hearing from everyone.
