A year ago, it was all about the kids. The future rotation from their farm system. This year it's all about the money. When Jerry said, "Show me the money." Hank was listening. The thing that gets me is the Red Sox aren't really doing anything, and I wonder why? Is it because CC Sabathia is 1-4 and era was 6.8 at Yankee Stadium, or that AJ Burnett is a walking ER, or that Sheets is hit or miss and very much injury prone.
I have to give the Yankees credit though, they sure do spice up the Winter.
Can they buy a Championship? I don't think their coach is that good, their players defensively have the range or ability, and their hitters are subpar. Their pitching staff has improved, but it'll be interesting to see. I alway love how Arod disappears in October.
I don't think you can buy a championship, but you sure can try.
