Before I begin, let me apologize for the brain fart the other day. Yes, the Caps were on the road yesterday. My bad. I've had too many of these brain farts lately; must be on account of the holidays...lol

     Now, on to the business at hand...

     On the subject of brain farts, apparently the Caps had a whale of one. I mean, how in the fricking hell do you unload 50-some shots on goal (OK, it was 48, but who's counting?? LMAO) and still lose 7-1 to the fricking Flyers??? From what little I heard on radio (and saw on TV), this was a total debacle.

     Thank God the game @ Hershey was far more entertaining.

     From the first goal for the Bears (14 seconds into the game), to the last one (a bizarre empty-netter), and everything inbetween, the 5 of us...me, my brother, and 3 friends of his...thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. 4-2 over the Lowell Devils (NJ's farm team in the AHL), who were last in their division; Hershey sits atop theirs.

     Now, about that empty-net goal...

     It came in the last minute of the game, and how it happened was that a Lowell player tried to kick the puck away from the crease...and had it shot off his skate into the empty net. That was bizarre...but the end of the game itself was surreal. At least 3 fights, and both goalies penalized for leaving the crease.

     I don't care what anybody says, minor league hockey is more of a pleasant experience than the NHL product. $18, to sit a good 15 or 17 rows from the ice. (Any NHL arena, you'd be paying $70-$80 for the same seat. Somewhere around that amount.)

     I wouldn't have been able to write this the moment I got back last night (1 AM); I was so much out of it. Eh, it was worth the wait, wasn't it??
