Well, the playoffs haven't started yet. No week seventeen games have even been started. But I'm bored and I decided to write this. These are my NFL awards. Starting with the most presitigous:
MVP
1) Peyton Manning - Manning has led the Colts all the way to a 11 - 4 record after starting off 3 - 4. The Colts have won eight straight in a large part to Manning. The Colts have only had the leading rusher in one of their fifteen games. The Colts automatically get into the playoffs and some are picking them to win it all.
2) James Harrison
3) Adrian Peterson
Offensive Player of the Year
1) Drew Brees - Brees is trying to break Dan Marino's record for passing yards for a season. If only the Saints were successful this year and he would be in the thick of the MVP race.
2) Adrian Peterson
3) Michael Turner
Defensive Player of the Year
1) James Harrison - The leader of the Steeler's formidable linebacker corps. He has helped Pittsburgh reach an 11 - 4 record and has led the league's best defense. I would be very surprised if anyone else won.
2) DeMarcus Ware
3) Joey Porter
Offensive Rookie of the Year
1) Chris Johnson - I was wrong. I thought Johnson was a horrible pick for the Titans at first. I thought they needed a receiver or a tight end. Wow. Johnson has been much better than I could have imagined. However, it's close between Johnson and Ryan.
2) Matt Ryan
3) Matt Forte
Defensive Rookie of the Year
1) Jerod Mayo - Ah, one of my favorite things about football; rookie defensive players. I love rookies, but I just find rookie defenders more interesting. That's why I love the fact that Jerod Mayo leads my favorite team in tackles and is in the lead for defensive rookie of the year.
2) Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
3) Curtis Lofton
Note: Watch out for Hodge. Junior linebacker for TCU.
Coach of the Year
1) Bill Belichick - Honestly, I don't see why anyone else would win. Belichick has put together a successful season for the Brady-less, Thomas-less, Harrison-less, Maroney-less Patriots. He is playing with Matt Cassell at quarterback and had to sign Junior Seau midseason to make up for injuries. I think he should win hands down.
2) Tony Sparano
3) Mike Smith

Natasha Barnard
Alana Blanchard
