The New York Yankees have a strong need for a center fielder. The Mariners are terrible team with a guy named Ichiro Suzuki, who is 35 years old and is a much better player than Johnny Damon. Ichiro would bring 200 hits to the Yanks, great speed and a great arm in center field. Ichiro is traditionally a right fielder but could pull of a switch if needed. The Yankees have good future arms like Phil Coke, Alfredo Aceves, Jonathan Albaladejo, Ian Kennedy and Dan Giese. two of those pitchers listed above, Xavier Nady (only makes about 3 million) and an outfielder like Melky or Gardner could force the Mariners to accept. Say we get Ichiro for Nady, Giese, Coke and Gardner, our outfielder would be damon in left, Ichiro in center, and Gardner or Swisher in right. We could also go back to the deal with Mike Cameron, Melky and Kei Igawa. Our lineup would look as such. Ichiro-CF/RF Jeter-SS Tex-1B A-Rod-3B Matsui-DH Damon-LF Posada-C Cano-2B Cameron/Melky CF/RF

Can the M's really get Kei Igawa in a trade for Ichiro? Pretty please?
