I've made a few observations listed below concerning this year's NFL regular season that have clearly came into focus.

 1.  The Dallas Cowboys-  Plain and simple Jerry Jones needs to hire a GM that pulls all the triggers and he STAYS FAR FAR AWAY.  I know this is preaching to the choir and will never change because he's a hardhead know it all owner. This guys slowly becoming the second coming of Al Davis.  You haven't had a playoff win in 12 seasons try it Jerry, this and your team might actually play up to it's potential.  His decision to go with a "dead-arm" quarterback like Brad Johnson as Romo's backup really did cost them a playoff spot along with the teams subpar performances.  Also smart move putting your team on HBO's hard knock life as well, it really had them focused on XX's and OO's

Also plain and simple Tony Romo isn't the second coming of Brett Favre more like a re-incarnation of 80's cowboy quarterback Danny White.  Another guy with tremendous potential but just wasn't a big game QB.  And Romo needs to focus entirely on the game.  Out of all the hot women he can have access to, (although Jessica's incredibly hot)  why subdue yourself to the constant paparrazzi circus of dating her and affecting your focus.  I know Tom Brady has dated some high profile chicks but if you notice they really came into light after his game was polished.  AND HE HAD SOME RINGS....

Jason Garrett isn't the Offensive Savant he was made out to be.  I can't believe I'm quoting Deion Sanders but I think he put it best.  "Instead of Jason complaining to Jerry about needing another receiver and mortgaging the farm for Roy Williams maybe it's time to look at his play calling and the fact that the rest of the league has caught up with it".  Truer words couldn't be said even if they are from Deion...

2. Bill Belichick- Let me first preface this by saying i'm in no way a Belichick fan. His personality and anti-social behavior is somewhat reminiscent of Buddy Ryan.  But to call it how it is.  Flat out the guy(video scandal) is a GREAT GREAT coach.  Takes a injury riddled team with a Quarterback who hadn't taken a snap in College and proved all the doubters including myself wrong.  Also add the fact all of his apprentices like Crennel, Weiss, Mangini who've moved on to other teams and failed miserably while the ol coach still can pull out a 11 win season with mediocre talent speaks volumes.  My hat goes off to Mr. Spygate.  Dam how bout Mangini naming his kid after Favre, talking about a constant reminder of a season gone terribly wrong.

 3. San Francisco 49ers- This is my team. I like Mike Singletary as a person and while he's a great motivator I truly beleive this is just patching the roof.  I think the guy would make a great Defensive Coordinator but he reminds me so much of Herman Edwards.  Great motivator, players love him but when it comes down to clock management and making big calls he falls short.  Add in the fact the club owner has promoted his son Jed York to VP, fellow San Fran fans don't by your playoff tickets anytime soon.  We will probably have one decent year and regress the following two. HOLMGREN, HOLMGREN not your son whose 27 this isn't Madden it's the big leagues...  AAAAHHH!!!!

4. Marvin Lewis- This guy still having a job is almost as upsurb as Matt Millen keeping his all those years.  I know Cincy is infamously cheap but why prolong the inevitable.  It's absolute Chaos down there.  He's lost the team 3 times over.  But then again its Cincy what can you expect.  But they'll say who's out there to really hire.  Don't know about the rest of you guys before this season I really never heard of Mike Smith or John Harbaugh.  But now have both of their teams in the playoffs. At least make the effort of change..

5. Peyton Manning- MVP, say what you want they had a little over 600 yds out of Addai and add Marvin Harrison who to be kind was simply a small shadow of his past, add in a sketchy defense.  Guy just flat out brings it every Sunday.  Hat goes off to you Peyton.

I can't believe I'm saying this but San Diego is going to be really, really dangerous this post season.  Remind me a lot of last years Giants, talented team reaching their stride at the right time.
