All We want for the New Year 2009 is a legitimate playoff contender that will not embarrass themselves on "National" television!  With that said, it will take a lot of guts on the part of Mr. Bowlen a.k.a. the Broncos' owner who is also deaf, blind and mute!  How else can you explain the rapidly downward spiral in which this team seems to find itself at the end of the 2008 N.F.L. season?  Shame on Mr. Bowlen for blindly sticking with a coach that has lost his motivational skills, I.E. see Sunday's performance against the Chargers!  Anybody see a trend here?  The 2006 season came to an end with no playoffs, 2007 same thing.  The last game of the 2007 season we played a pitiful San Francisco team which had no winning record or shot at the playoffs.  We lost at home to that sorry team, "No Excuses" Mr. Bowlen are you blind?  Mike Shanahan fires everyone around him every year, he changes defensive coordinators like others change underwear!  Who is in charge here?  Certainly "not" Mr. Bowlen who can't seem to say anything except "Mike is our coach for as long as he wants to be", are you serious Mr. B?  The Tax payers footed the bill for the new stadium "Invesco", how will you repay them?  I'll tell you how you can start, By giving the boot to a coach who has no idea how to run and N.F.L. team and coach at the same time.  Here is a chance to do right by the fans who have so patiently waited for a playoff contender for three years and who also want a change from this sorry regime.

I understand the feeling, but the Broncos have the #27 payroll in the NFL and a lot of draft picks. The defense will be much better next season. Julius Peppers would look great in the Orange and Blue. I'm not a Shanafan, but I'm not a Shanahater either. They will be great next year, though.

Well, I'll eat the crow for that one. I was wrong. I'm shocked. Not disappointed, not happy, but shocked.
