Even though Rod Marinelli's Lions finished with a NFL worst ever 0-16 record, I don't think he should be fired. The Lions are owned by William Clay Ford Sr. and his son helps with the Lions. They also run the Ford Motor Company. With auto makers asking for a bailout, maybe the Ford's should sell the Lions to someone else. Someone who actually cares if they put a good product on the field. The Lions are the worse team in the NFL in the past 40 years. Even when they had Barry Sanders they weren't that good. They made the NFC Championship in 1991, but that's about it. They never surrounded Sanders with talent. It is time for the NFL to step in. They should be allowed to take over a team like this one. When the Buccaneers went 0-14 in 1976, they where an expansion team. The Lions have been in the NFL since it began in 1920. There is NO excuse for them to be this bad all the time. I feel sorry for the fans in Detroit. But they have hockey and basketball. The Ford family needs to wake up, or sell.
