For as long as I can remember, my Baltimore Ravens have been looking for an identity on offense. We've tried Holmes, Testaverde, Lewis, Grbac, Boller, Dilfer, McNair, MaGahee. The top two are obviously Vinny Testaverde, and Jamal Lewis. But now, we have finally found our identity in Joe Flacco. This is why I say you can have Matt, we'll keep Flacco. Because Matt Ryan is a big name, so once that Tom Brady or Peyton Manning or Romo or Rodgers or Hassellbeck finally goes, he'll leave because he can get bigger and better things.

Quick Bio Blast of Joe Flacco. Benched freshman year at Pittsburgh. Transfered to Delaware to get starting time. Was amazing there, getting the Blue Hens to a spot in the football championship series' big game; losing to somewhat of a dynasty in Appalachain St. In the NFL, he lwas drafted 18th by the 5-11 Ravens. He led his Baltimore Ravens since day one, getting them an 11-5 record and a wild card.  He has been frequently overshadowed by Matt Ryan.

Bio blast of Ryan. Boston College star. Drafted 3rd in the NFL draft, 15 spots ahead of Flacco. He has led the Atlanta Falcons to a huge turn around after the Vick scandel to an 11-5 record and a wild card berth.

I don't mean to take anything away from Ryan, but Flacco has gotten the shaft. Up until about a week ago, Flacco was completely unnoticed. But that doesn't bother me, it is just Flacco came from a small FCS school, played for a team that was just bad last year, not because of a scandel or anything, but just was bad. Plain and simple. He doesn't have electric numbers as Matt Ryan has, or MVP consideration either. But at the end of the day, their teams both have identical records and wild cards. All the success of Matt Ryan, and the praise, will do a number to someones ego. But Flacco will be humble, for here on out.

I agree MDPRIDE...but you'll never get any kind of agreement from anyone outside of B'more or New Jersey (Flacco's hometown).

B'more is the Rodney Dangerfield (no respect) of the NFL.
