The Bearcats have gone 11-2 this year, won the Big East Conference, and have had two straight seasons with double digit wins. The Virginia Tech Hokies have won teh ACC over Boston College, 30-12, on December 6, and won 3 straight to end their season this year going into tomorrow's college football Orange Bowl. The Cincinnati offense likes to go with 5-yard passes or screens sometimes with quarterback Tony Pike and his target, Mardy Gilyard. Dominick Goodman has also been a primary target with 78 receptions. This Cincinnati team has had 5 quarterbacks go down with injuries and still managed to get to 11 wins for the year. Cincinnati has a great defensive line that can stuff the run and they can stop Darren Evans. Cincinnati is one of only 15 teams that have allowed an average of less than 105 yards per game. Mike Mickens is a great cornerback that is expected to retuen tomorrow and help stop Tyrod Taylor and Sean Glennon from tearing up the defense. Kevin Huber is a good punter but he has only put 21 punts inside the 20 yardline with an average of 45 yards per punt. The Hokies coach Frank Beamer is 0-2 all time in his career in the Orange Bowl and he has experience but not good ones. Brian Kelly has won two career national championship in Division II with Grand Valley State and is 2-0 in bowl games. This is also Cincinnati's first ever BCS bowl game. Cincinnati has most of the advantages and they will win, 17-13.
