If the reports are correct, then Man U has just plugged the team's one hole -- a striker to play with Wayne Rooney. Getting Carlos Tevez is the third surprise signing the team has made this off-season. Unlike other teams the Red Devils have been quiet on who they would sign, aside from Owen Hargreaves, which was a given. Tevez was an obvious fit on the pitch and United had tried to sign him last year, but didn't want to get in the mess that West Ham did by having a player on the team whose contract was not owned by any team, but by a management firm. With that mess sorted out it should mean Tevez's destiny of playing at Old Trafford is sealed. I can't wait to see the sort of attacking style we can fully unleash now that Rooney will not have constant double teams and isolation up top. It also will greatly reduce the pressure that Christiano Ronaldo will face match to match. Anyone that saw West Ham play down the stretch saw how much of a gamebreaker Tevez is. He nearly single-handedly kept that squad up in the Prem and they will be extremely hard pressed to replace him. Does John Terry want to take back that "loaning the Premiership trophy" claim now? Because the way I see it, is Man U loaned that trophy to Arsenal & Chelsea for a few years and that baby is ours again.
