USC Trojans 2008 Season | USC Trojan Football's Blog

Another college football season is almost at end, and, once again the USC Trojans are not in the championship game, and, once again USC does not get to face one of the SEC's elite teams in a bowl game. Congratulations to the Florida Gators and the Oklahoma Sooners; the two most excellent and deserving teams in the NCAA. USC fans are getting tired of watching the Trojans play Big 10 teams even though the Nittany Lions were outstanding this year. Penn State was definitely a worthy opponent for USC in the 2009 Rose Bowl. No disrespect to the Big 10, but when will USC get to play one of the SEC's elite teams! Congratulations to the Utes for their stellar victory in the Sugar Bowl. It was a joy to watch Utah play football the way they do. I would vote Utah no. 1 in the AP poll if I could. Still, I wish that USC could have played the Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl and let the Utes face off agaist Penn State. The Ohio State Buckeyes almost beat the Longhorns! Watch out for those Buckeyes! Ohio State keeps getting better and better. The Buckeyes will be formidable in September 2009 when USC travels to Ohio Stadium. Will USC ever get to play an elite Big 12 team? What about USC vs. Texas? I hate the way bowl game matchups are arranged. There is something unsportsman-like about it. To hell with tradition. Let the best teams play each other.

I agree on all points......except that i believe you can only control your own destiny.......if we had won Oregon State we would be in the NC game......but we didnt.......so we are not!! I am as dissappointed as you!!

BUT....I'll say it again....if an 11 win season that ends in a Rose Bowl win is a loosing season....I'll take it!!!!!! Cause I will always remember seasons in which my mom would fall on the floor & cry! Now for the most part she runs around the living room after every TD like our very own traveler!! (priceless)

We will get the chance to play those teams when we win every game!! & I am a little nervous about next seasons game @ Ohio!!!

All in all......a GREAT season for college football...........The Utes rolled the Tide....Pat White wins all 4 bowl games to good opponents......Ohio State comes soooo close to upseting Texas......those damn Beavers kicked our **** at their house ...AGAIN.............Norm Chow is now at UCLA (Is anything sacred anymore??) ......Sarkisian is making a break for Washington.......the pac-10 was not so good during the season, but blew everyone away during the bowl season...............GREAT GAMES...GREAT SEASON!!!!
