I am fairly new to fannation and have met some pretty incredible people. I specifically enjoy reading Gruden's poker blog about tips, tells, secrets and strategies. I feel the urge to sharpen my game more now and get more involved after a 6 month layoff from consistent playing. At my height I would play 5 Money Games a week and TRY a Big tournament Once a Month 200+ Buy-In.
However after a LINE of cold cards over the last few months i decided to take it easy and let my bankroll back up.
I've figured the true mark of an enjoyable sport, something you can invest time and money in but STILL feel the rush of excitement even as you lose. This is what poker brings for me. A chance to learn, a chance to live, a chance to beat personal goals that EVERYONE sets for themselves at the start of a big game.
The rush I feel sitting at the table with 5-9 other people that have my SAME goals makes me a better player. Knowing that EVERYONE is out to beat me makes me play for my life....and I LOVE it. To strive to better yourself, learn new tricks and to learn how other people work is not only a testament to success at the poker table, but also in life.
Thanks to all for all your insightful writings and a special thanks to Gruden for making me realize that regardless of the outcome, poker is one of the many loves of my life...
Now.....time to find a game.

And, No, even though this blog seems to make me sound like a consistent loser, I am a Top 20% player, not EVERYTIME...(If I was Id play the tour....)
