Looking Ahead to Next Year - Steeler Issues to be addresed, | Zohan: GO STEELERS's Blog

Now on my list there were 2 issues that REALLY stood out and I could not think of which was was more valuable......So I give you my top 5 list of what needs to be addressed in the offseason.

1. Build a competitive O-Line.

-Its bad enough we let go of Faneca and Franchised that waste of a blocker Starks, but even worse we are giving up a HUGE amount of sacks of one of the most ELUSIVE QB's in the league. Think how many times escaped the grasp of a defender or made a juke to get out of the way. If he didnt have mobility Ben would have been on his a55 a RECORD amount of times this year. What they need to do is pick up a STUD OL, one that can START as a rookie.

My Pick would be: Andre Smith or Possibly 6'6 320lb Eugene Monroe.....or HELL, How about both!

2. FIRE BRUCE ARIANS! -

As I said in a previous post, this guy is straight Garbage. Same post route and draw plays in the redzone...CONSISTENTLY...... I want to stab myself with a dull-rusty butter-knife everytime we are in the redzone.....

BRING IN MIKE MARTZ!!!!!

3. What to Do with Parker.

Parker has turned into a serious Liability. He is an injury case and his future with the team needs discussed. I love Willie, I do....but for the betterment of the Team, we need a Bruiser back like we had in Bettis. You know who would be AWESOME for the Steelers? BRING IN EDGERIN JAMES!..Seriously..He would be a PREMIER back if he was with the B&G. He is looking to shop other teams in the offseason where he can get carrie. GO AFTER HIM STEELERS!... He has the style bettis did, he is HARD to bring down and he is QUICK for a bigger guy. He has a good number of years left in him. Trade Parker for Edge Or give up a Draft Choice(s) for Edge.

4. The Backup QB Situation.

Ok THIS is hard, I love Batch and Leftwich has proven to be a sturdy and capable back. He is young and has a GUNN of an arm. For the betterment of the team, I say to keep Leftwich. Batch could PROBABLY get his old Starting Job back from the Lions!!!!! Love ya Charlie, but I think its time to go.

5. Steely McBeam

FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST.......RETIRE THIS MASCOT ALREADY....2 YEARS IS ENOUGH!!!!!!

Ok Maybe I went a little Far with the Bring Mike Martz thing. Im just so disgusted with Arians Martz seems like a good pickup....haha.... But I admit, I went a little overboard there.

What would be ideal is to bring back Mularkey!

1. I agree improving the offensive line is top priority.
2. New Off. Co-ordinator..I'm leery...especially Martz who may be too gimmicky. It would have to be a guy that understands Pittsburgh smash mouth football.
3. I would keep Fast Willie because he's a homerun hitter..however..I do like the idea of bringing in Edge as the " big back". This could be sold on the Giants approach with Earth, Wind & Fire. Keep Moore as 3rd down back and let Parker and Edge share carries.
4. I believe Batch should be kept as QB coach to keep him in the fold unless needed as a 3rd QB.
5.I hate Steely McBeam....Steelers don't play gimmicky football and shouldn't have a gimmick on the sidelines.
6. We do need to acquire another corner...DeShea is like 33 or 34 years old.
