Colt McCoy put football fans in awe with his deadly accuracy as well as leading one of college football's best teams.  The Texas quarterback set records in completion percentage, finishing the 2008 season with a percentage of 76.5%, an NCAA single-season record.  McCoy was also clutch, with two last-drive victories in only two chances.  Colt led Texas to a victory over #1 Oklahoma in the mid-season Red River Shootout, as well as heroics in the Fiesta Bowl to beat Ohio State with a touchdown pass to Cosby in the last twenty seconds of the game.

In McCoy's only loss(against Texas Tech in Lubbock), he gave his Longhorn's a lead with under two minutes left, which proved to be a few seconds too many after Crabtree's genius touchdown reception on the last play. McCoy continually gave his Texas football team a chance to win throughout the year, which is why as a junior, he was number two in Heisman voting.  McCoy is a smart quarterback, proving this with a TD-Int ratio of 34-8 in 13 games in 2008.  In fact, McCoy only had two games with two interceptions, and never more in a game in the 2008 season.  In over half of the games in 2008, McCoy did not throw an interception, and threw at least two touchdown passes in all but one game.

McCoy is possibly the best NFL quarterback in college football today, and if he decides to stay one more year could put a national championship and a heisman in his repetoir as well.
