Well, I normally would not rejoice at anyone being fired with extreme prejudice, but Pacman obviously needed to go for the good of the NFL!

This thug has been allowed to play in the league for far too long and his continued brushes with the law show that he has no respect for his responsibility as a representative of this league.

The fact the someone had to threaten to show footage of one of his "strip club extravaganzas" to get Jerry Jones to act is shameful on many levels. Jerry Jones is obviously a smart man and has built a great deal of wealth with his business decisions. How he could be so inept when it comes to choosing these thugs and loudmouths to be on his team is simply beyond belief!

I pray that Pacman learns from his past and corrects the path his life is on at the moment. Prison is not something I would wish on anyone, but this man is clearly headed that way. Talk about wasted talent!! It is amazing how he has blown what could have been a long and possibly HOF career. He thought because he has all that money he was above the law and that he could do what he wanted to do.

I hope ALL young players are required to read his arrest reports and his suspension/fine schedule from the league. Maybe we can save some future idiot a lot of loss and grief and prevent similar mistakes.

As for Dallas, this is a baby step in the right direction. To be honest, there should be a lot of empty/unmarked lockers in their locker room after this season. That Pacman is the only one cut so far is amazing, but this is Jerry Jones and Wade Phillips. Jerry likes idiots and thugs and loudmouths. Wade doesn't have the guts to fire or discipline anyone.

This team is a submarine with screen doors and it is painful to watch this once honorable team go down in this fashion. Jerry Jones should be haunted by the watchful soul of Tom Landry and other legends that called Dallas home at one time.

Terrell Owens should be next... He is not a thug, but is probably the most detrimental player to ANY team he calls home. For a man who talks with a very big mouth, he has more drops than a rain storm and ZERO Super Bowl Rings to back up his trash talk. He is the epitomy of an individual on the field and has no sense of loyalty or team.

If JJ wants to earn any respect, he needs to clean out that locker room because it needs it, and not because of pressure from a news outlet. If they gave a D*MN about this game, they would at least respect the roots of the league and honor the field with players who deserve to play, and want to play on what once was an Honorable Team.

The Cowboys transformation to the Old School Raiders is a pathetic attempt to win base on how it looks on paper. Unfortunately, they were using toilet paper.

Rahim, I agree with you wholeheartedly! Jerry has this team circling the drain...

January 12, 2009  09:35 AM ET

Personally Redfish, I just can not agree with you on TO.

I think if Dallas cuts him to make a point, our problems will only begin because right now, we DO NOT have enough proof to call Roy Williams our #1 WR....granted, Jerry paid and traded for him like he is one, but he hasnt shown to be one yet and I emphasize the word yet.

PacMan has not been brought back to Dallas quite yet and even if he did, he would be 4th on the depth chart barring what they end up doing with Henry...IE...moving him over to Saftey and playing Newman, Scandrick and Jenkins on passing downs.

He has no rings, true...but that has been more of the teams around him than of his own doing.

His past stinks but in Dallas he has improved...yet, when the media takes ANY and I mean ANY little thing you say and blows it out of control, what can one do?

We shall see but I think Jerry will make some prudent moves this offseason.

1 - he cut PacMan, 2 - he will let Tank go and not re-sign him, 3 - he will pay Ware to retire a Cowboy, 4 - he will let Zach Thomas go and pay Burnett to start and stay.

They will also keep Keith Davis.

The question mark is Roy Williams the saftey...that will be VERY interesting to see what they do with him, considering they played an entire season without him and finished 8th in the league in total D.

Lastly, get a friggin QB to push Romo...

January 12, 2009  11:18 PM ET

Jeff, you are back... Like I said in past blogs, if I cannot get you to understand logic then, then I never will. TO is a huge distraction and detractor of any team he plays for. Period!! He is a cancer on any team and his mouth lets distracting statements fall just like all those dropped balls. Thus endeth the lesson!

January 13, 2009  11:38 AM ET

No need for personal attacks dude...we are both passionate about our team and believe in our ways of fixing things.

My agrument is WINS. Tell me how we win without TO?

Right now, Roy Williams is NOT on the same page with Romo...now, that might change by the end of next season and that would enable Jones to maybe let TO go then but right now, if TO goes, the offense will be ugly.

Teams double TO and force Romo elsewhere, hence Wittens number of catches...once Tony develops that chemsitry with Roy, then and only then would I consider sending TO on his way.

Also dude, cutting TO right now CAN NOT happen cap wise....his hit was already discussed by JJ and JJ himself said that cutting TO could not occur without us not being able to sign Demarcus Ware.

I don't know about you, but TO for at least 1 more season and Ware for life is a much better deal than no TO or Ware.

I still think TO will retire a Cowboy.

Frankly, if the ENTIRE team were as passionate, played as hard, practiced as hard and were as **** as TO is about his physical health, this squad would be off the charts ridiculous.

Plus he isnt a criminal and you wont see him out in strip clubs making it rain either - lol.

January 13, 2009  12:39 PM ET

You win by going out and getting a GOOD receiver. Period. Cut TO. He is more a hindrance than a help. Spend some of that JJ money. Get a receiver with a good attitude who does not always create a circus and tension on a team! Get a new Head Coach while you are at it. TO belongs in public housing, not in the NFL.

January 14, 2009  10:35 AM ET

Fish, once again or maybe you did NOT read what I said earlier...

If you cut TO, the cap hit PREVENTS Dallas from signing Demarcus Ware to a long term deal.

Then, on top of that, who do you bring in that will replace him?

TO was 13th in yards and 4th in scores for Wide Recievers....who do you suggest will produce more that will be a free agent?

Like I said, keeping him for at least 1 more year makes sense, then, ASSUMING Roy Williams and Romo are on the same page and he is doing well, maybe you make your move then and sign another guy that can be your 2....

Until then, your idea is ridiculous right now.

As far as a head coach, they will....but there are several things that will need to play out first.

January 14, 2009  03:33 PM ET

JeffH-24 I am on board with you on TO. Redfish - you are so off the mark. Everyone wants to blame TO for the Cowboys divided locker room and he is so far from that - that its not even funny. TO is not the blame for the Cowboys divided locker room, THE COWBOYS are to blame for the divided locker room. When you have a some giving their all and some acting like they don't care one way or the other - thats a problem. TO is a fierce passionate competitor who wants to win and he feels that he can make a difference if he is given the ball - (he is no different than Jordan, Bird, Magic, Lebron, Kobe, Shaq) all superstars want the ball and think they can put the team on their shoulders to win. if you want to fault him, fault him for being brutally honest and fault his teammates for not being man enough to call anyone to the mat. If others took it as serious as he did - they would be playing this weekend instead of watching. Redfish, you need to start a blog to all the other TO haters that they need to find something or someone else to blame for the Cowboys problems, he has been a model citizen in the community, never arrested no drug use or even alcohol so leave the man alone.

January 15, 2009  06:26 PM ET

SF41 and Jeff need to read today's report about how TO HAS DIVIDED THE DALLAS Locker Room to the point they are dead serious about CUTTING HIM!! Not trading him, CUTTING HIM. They know no other team will give them much for him because of the tantrums, division, and distractions HE ALONE brings to the locker room. Hire ANY receiver to replace him. A poor substitute who tries will still be better than this cancer on the team. Period. You both are missing the picture about what the NFL is about. It is about TEAMS playing TOGETHER for a common goal. It is about sacrifice and honor and playing the game as A TEAM. You are both clueless... The only thing TO is fierce about is his stats. The team be damned... If you cannot see this, then you both need to clean your glasses and look at this without the passion of team loyalty. Look at TO objectively and you will be just as repulsed as a great majority of the fans and the league are with this pestilence.

If TO is such a fierce competitor and player, why has he been KICKED OUT OF TWO LOCKER ROOMS and working on a THIRD this year? Answer me that one and I will shut up!!!
