With about 3 minutes left in the 4th it became apparent that Thom Brennaman is openly in love with Tim Tebow. When Tebow received a 15 yard taunting penalty he stated that that was probably the only thing Tebow had ever done wrong in his ENTIRE life. He also declared Tebow one of the best college football players of all-time. Actually the only thing that made me feel more sick than Brennaman was Tebow himself. Why is it that i wanted Tebow to lose so badly? Was it the prison bit they did in pre-game that had inmates saying how inspired they were? Yes fellas, bring jesus into your heart and you to can QB a top college program. Perhaps it was the eyeblack, really not sure but I do know that I wanted Florida to lose so badly that I prayed to God and swore that I would devote my life to the church if he made Tebow lose. Well you know what they say, " Good things happen to home schooled religious fanatics."
On a serious note, I can't see Tebow being an effective QB at the next level. Can anyone see him being an NFL starting QB?

I'll be completely honest. Your disdain for the poor kid makes me sick. As a pastor and a Florida fan, I can say that I honestly don't understand the hate for the kid. I'm all for separation of church and state. I don't consider myself a religious fanatic at all. I love the kid's attitude though. Tebow plays with heart unlike anyone else. Name one player who plays with the fire he does. Name one.
You can't. Love him or hate him, he's a heckuva football player and he loves the game. Not being a Christian does not give you the right to stop people from practicing their faith just like me being a Christian does not give me the right to stop you from having faith in whatever you have faith in.

For those of us who are not Florida or Oklahoma fans (or pastors), it was tiring listening to those announcers talk about how flawless Tebow is; I thought he would walk on water during the trophy ceremony. It's not advisable to put a human being so high on a pedestal....you know, beware of false prophets? :-)
I don't have any disdain for the kid; he is a good player who plays hard all the time....BUT....when you watch a NC game, you expect some half-decent analysis on the actual game and players from BOTH teams (not just the Gators). Your opinion is subjective because #1 you're a Florida fan...and #2 you're a pastor. As for Tebow going to the NFL, I think he will stay in school another year.

ckah28: Tebow plays hard and has a great team attitude, agreed. I just don't like him, sick of these athletes giving thanks to God as if he chose them over the competition. I have no issue with faith but I do have issue when it gets thrown out there every time a guy is interviewed.
I was in no way trying to stop Tebow from practicing his faith, not sure where you got that from.

i hate tim tebow...Personally i don't believe fla had any business in the National Championship....First they lost to OLE MISS....OLE MISS?!?!?! come on....for anyone who says ya ole miss they are a good team u r an SEC fan not a college football fan and u deserve alll the hate u recieve in the world...no1 cheers for a Conference....just cause ur team sucks im sry....but back to the topic....USC deserved the Number 2 spot...i mean they did lost to Oregon State but i mean OSU was underrated....USC beat the **** outta pretty much any1 else they played and had the most dominating and intimidating team in college football...the fact they only got wat 1 number 1 vote is obserd....Tim Tebow is the only reason FLA was in the Championship...American has some WIERD fassination with him...i dont understand it, he talks like an idiot listen to his ole miss press conference and tell me a 8th grader didnt right it....he is not intelligent...America needs to get over him he is not a football player just a pretty boy
