Thank you. Oklahoma's defense sure came to play.

It's an unfortunate by-product of the system that whoever loses the national championship game has to take a lot of abuse from fans who believe their team could have done better. Perhaps we will have a rematch next year, especially if the two quarterbacks return.

No way, the way everyone gives USC verbal *lowjobs just because of the fact they play in their backyard against sub par teams in a bowl game....I hope Ohio State rips open USC next year.

You mean like in the Orange Bowl in 04-05? I don't think Oklahoma was subpar and Florida is certainly not the Trojans backyard. Or when they lost to Vince Young and the Horns in the Rose Bowl? I am no Trojan fan by any means, but they have been good. Keep hoping about that Ohio State ripping, because I was hoping for the same thing my self earlier this year and well......we know what happened there.

i wasn't saying Joklahoma was sub par i was talking about Penn State, and it still blows my mind Texas beat USC in their own back yard and by the look on the fans face when i was there it blew their minds to. USC is all d and no offense sure they threw down on Penn but was Penn that good in the first place? In my opinion which i understand means nothing Penn was just like Alabama once a respectable team rolled along they were exposed as a average team,
I am not taking nothing away from Utah, but USC beating Florida is a pipe dream! i guess if USC fans dream they dream big!

There is no National Champion in college football. At least not in D1. It's all a popularity contest.

....im still confused as to how this stream turned into a USC bashing game.........people who HATE us ....cant get enough of the Texas game in 06........its been 3 years....yes they beat us fair & square....it was a GREAT game that went down to the wire......& yes we were heartbroken.....but every fan at one point or another goes through that!! The pain goes away eventually....lol!!

BTW, I think USC got the short end of the stick this year. I suspect there was a certain amount of USC fatigue considering all the success the Trojans have had the past few years. That loss to Oregon State seemed to eliminate them from any possibility of consideration the rest of the year, which is a shame. I'm not complaining for the opportunity Oklahoma got, nor do I think OU was unworthy, but my personal vote would have been USC vs. Florida in the title game.

Oklahoma was given the Big 12 south championship per the rules of the Big 12. OU destroyed Mizz and got their shot at the National Championship.
Bob Stoops has renamed OU to ChOklahoma! Give it up, Stoops cant win the Big Game and for proof just look at the Stoops' ChOklahoma bowl record for the past 5 years. So in the future when voters consider ChOklahoma for the big game maybe they should consider the past!!!!!!!!! May be Bob Stoops should start with a less bowl game, so he can grow into the big bowl games.

Stoops has been to four national title games this decade. If he had won this one, he would have been 2-2, and no one would be spewing your kind of nonsense. Indeed, they would be again calling him a genius.

The losing streak is simply coincidental, a little bad luck, if you will. In most cases, OU simply played a better team. It happens. We've also been rather lucky to get into all those national title games, so it works both ways.
