Lets start out by saying that even though the system has major flaws, College Football is by far, the greatest sport on the planet. Since the salary cap, the NFL is simply not that good any more, PERIOD. They say "Parody" I say Mediocre. I would much rather 2 or 3 power houses and bunch of 4-12 teams than have this.  The bottom line is under a salary cap system it is impossible to keep a good team together, the proof is the Rams. After beating Tennessee in the Super-Bowl they got picked apart due to no fault of their own. You simply can not pay all your up-an-coming stars as well as your veterens. The arguement may be New England, but that is the most robotic, boring team on the planet. We have 8-8 teams WINNING THEIR DIVISION, wilcards have won 2 of the last 3  Super Bowls. WHY? No depth, due to the salary cap. Plus the regular season is bordering on that of the NBA & NHL, scary.

Meanwhile, EVERY single college game is majorly important. Maybe bordering on too important. If we're going to stick with the rating system than the teams MUST be evaluated each week for their seasons body of work. There is too much movement in the rankings for one. And since a playoff system is not going to happen with all the pull from the bowl commitees, than lets make it simple. Here it is, ALMOST go back to the old system, at least that way all the bowls actually meant something. SO WHAT if number 1 doesn't play number 2, this way if No. 1 loses, No. 2 can be the champs, and down the line. The way it is, that "BCS" game is the only one that counts, all the other bowls are basically meaningless. But here is the Point, if that BCS game is the end all be all, Number One VS. Number Two, THAN WHY isnt the loser automatically number two?????? They lost to number one, right? This is the second year in a row that the loser of the BCS game dropped down to number 5. Proof right there that the BCS DOES NOT WORK. REAL SIMPLE FOLKS, play all your bowl games in the tradional manor, as well as play the 4 majors on JANUARY 1st, THEN pick your top two, and on the 8th play the BCS National Champion Game. ....As a Florida alumni I have to like this system, but I have to admit, and its the 2nd YEAR IN A ROW, USC finished Number 2, and I have to admit the they are the best team in the country 2 years in a row and didn't win anything. Thats what turns people off to College.

As far as the quality of the games, there is absolutely no comparison. These college kids play their hearts out every week, meanwhile these overpaid NFL could not care less about anything except the money.

So lemme get this straight...you think a league that doesn't even have the best players in it is better than the league with the best players in it.....ok just checking...

You have no idea how hard players in the NFL football work.....and as far as every game not meaning anything in NFL, well your wrong...prime example when there was an 11-5 team left from the playoffs...Not to mention that one game separated 4 potential playoff spots...

BUT, the salary cap has nothing to do with that...it IS parody...that is why there are so many even record teams in the league....5 outta the 8 conference have WHAT YOU WANT....2 TEAMS THAT DOMINATE the division, and they rest 4-12ish records...just like any other college football division...

The NFL **** on college football, the only college football game from the past 10 years that matched the excitement of an NFL game was the 06 Rose Bowl, and look how well those two QB's are doing in the real league.

I'll admit, the college football regular season is decent, but still dosen't come close to the NFL. The real downer with college football is their post season. Honestly, those bowls are AWFUL. And the national championship game is usually a complete bore. I found watching the 4th quarter of a 33-7 game to be much more entertaining than the entire national championship game.

Your view is so incorrect and biased it's SCARY! Challenge me to a throwdown saying that the NFL regular season compares to the NBA/NHL, please, please challenge me, because that might be the most absurd thing I've ever heard. And you call the Patriots robotic. Every college team is exactly the same, no team has any personality.

Bottome line, college football is the minor league of the NFL
