Rumor has it there is interest to bring Prince Fielder to the Red Sox for a package of young players. This actually might have more legs then meets the eye, if the Sox got Fielder they would have to move Youk to 3rd and trade Lowell or trade Ortiz which isn’t going to happen. There were rumors the Sox and Rangers talked about Micheal Young coming to Boston because Young has demanded a trade because he has been told he is going to be playing 3rd base next year. So if the Sox were to trade for Fielder then flip Lowell to the Rangers for Young that would eliminate a lot of concern about the Boston lineup, and make a lot of sense for the Rangers and Sox.

That does make sense but with the size of Young's contract and his age I don't see him coming to the Sox.

It would happen for free!!!!!!! Texas will be desperately trying to get rid of him, he has one of the worst contracts in the league there are only 4 or 5 teams that can even take him on. Texas should have to take Lugo or no deal, and they should be so lucky to get an constant pro in Lowell
