For the most part, the Copa America has been pretty awesome, with my beloved Peru upsetting Uruguay 3-0. They advanced to the next round; I'm crossing my fingers that Paraguay scores two goals in a hurry....
I strongly feel that there were a couple of matches I watched yesterday that were kind of 'fixed' in advance. For example, the Uruguay and Venezuela match ended in a tie. How can that be? Uruguay could have given the Venezuelan side an **** whipping. By winning, they would've finished first in the group. Although finishing first would have been ideal, they probably did not want to risk anything such as an injury. Venezuela was in the same predicament. Both teams felt like a tie was necessary instead of risking a loss.
Mexico tied with Chile. Mexico had nothing to lose, seeing that they had enough points to advance. Chile wanted to win so they would be assured of advancing. What I don't understand with regards to Mexico is...HOW CAN EL TRI BEAT ONE OF THE BEST TEAMS IN THE WORLD IN BRAZIL (I KNOW THEY SENT THEIR B 1/2 SQUAD, BUT HEY, THAT SQUAD WON THE CA IN 05') 2-0 AND TIE WITH PETTY CHILE?! CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THAT FOR ME? Anywho, that is all
Viva Peru carajo! Peru CAMPEON! PERU!...PERU!...PERU!...PERU!!!
