So, here we are. A win against the Flyers, a loss to to Ovechkin and the Capitals. But now the questions is: bad day for Philadelphia or good day for Washington? I think yesterday Alex Ovechkin was too good. Against the Flyers they were the better team. Anyhow Crosby left the ice with an injury that is not disclosed right now but he said he needs to see if he can skate tomrrow. I Hope he does. Though good news from practice today: Sergej Gonchar skated with his teammates. Maybe he could return to the line up earlier than march. It would be great to see him again. It looks like Michelle Therrien got out of rumors. Haven't read of changing coach since winning against the Flyers, but as much as I like to see a change there Ray Shero wasn't and will never be a guy that rushes into such things. Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell would like to see the next Winter Classic at Philadelphia against the Pens. I mean who doesn't want to see that. Classic match up. Great rivalry. But I don't think the chances are very high because the Penguins played the Winter Classic just a year ago. Let's see what happens there. Pittsburgh got a day off today. Tomorrow they get back into the action when the Ducks visit Mellon Arena. Go Pens an let's hope that Crosby will be back!!!

The BETTER Winter Classic would be Pens/Caps @ FedEx (or PNC PARK/Heinz Field) for next year.
Loved how the crowd booed Alex mercilessly after he scored his 1st goal in the 3rd period. Hey, boo all the hell you want; it's STILL gonna be OUR year for the Cup!!! Even the Sporting News has predicted the Caps face Detroit in the finals (though I disagree with their picking the Wings to win it all; hey, we remember getting our a*s*s*e*s kicked in '98 by them. REVENGE!!!)
Life is good.
