Ravens @ Steelers

My Pick- Ravens

The Ravens are a much better defensive team than the Chargers.  The Steelers won't be able to replicate what they did last week against the Ravens.  With Ray Lewis, Haloti, Ngata, and Terelle Suggs stopping the run the Steelers won't be able to get a run game going.  And without a run game, Ben has proven time and time again that he is a guy who needs players around him to perform well, for him to perform well.

The Ravens will win in a close one.

Final Score

Ravens- 13

Steelers- 6

 Eagles @ Cards

My Pick- Eagles

Can the Cards continue to run with effectiveness?  Not this week.  The Eagles run D was 4th during the regualr season, and did good jobs against the Vikings and Giants.  Kurt Warner will have to deal with constant blitzes and will have pressure in his face all day, with Asante Samuel waiting for just 1 mistake.

McNabb and the Eagles offense should have a good day against the Cards D.  The Cards have been successful by sending blitzes, that makes screen passes much harder to defend...... They aren't facing a RB who is good on screen passes are they?

Final Score

Eagles- 28

Cards- 21

It will be interesting to see if the Steelers can carry their rested momentum into that game, this season has been so crazy and unpredictable, usually you would say the Eagles crush the Cardinals but it really matter which Cardinal Defense shows up and which McNabb shows up. I like your picks, I havent really decided who I think will win but Im going for the Steelers and I'll be happy for whoever wins on the NFC side, although when ever you say that you end up going for someone.

You overlooked the fact that Suggs probably wont play and even if he does, wont be a factor with his injured shoulder. If he does play, watch for Hines Ward to test his shoulder with a completely legal, but debilitating block. Without Suggs, the Ravens pass rush drops off considerably and Pitts O-line has been playing with noticeably more cohesion the past couple of weeks. Couple that with a completely healthy Willie Parker and this represents a major difference from the first 2 games. Don't be surprised if this game isn't close. Just like last week, the Steelers offense is being underestimated.........Steelers win this one "comfortably" by more than a TD, although the game probably won't be as close as the score indicates, just like last week against SD.
