Yes, I've thrown a lot of love towards Mr. McNabb (gonna take a lot of love) and deservedly so; but on the eve of the conference championships, let me throw some toward Kurt Warner. Consider the road this man has taken. First, getting jettisoned by Louis' Rams (choosing to eventually go with overpriced Marc Bulger) and then by NYG.
From all that, he was able this year to beat out mighty Matt Leinart for the starting job, choosing to ignore all the critics who thought he was well past his prime. Now, this fine man is ready to take another team to the Super Bowl. Yes, never count out a former grocery stocker. Those guys have heart. As well as the grief from different sorts he's had to endure, he no doubt has had his share of injuries. Just like to touch on one from last year.
I remember sometime last season when Mr. Warner injured his left arm either from being sacked, knocked down, or perhaps trying to recover a fumble. Don't remember exactly. Anyway, I thought that was it for him as far as the season goes. From the way it looked, there was no way he was going to be able to play anymore. His arm was just dangling. But this man showed everyone what he was made of. Instead of being put on injured reserve, he chose to wear a brace and continue playing! Man sakes alive!
Now, this didn't happen toward the last couple of games of the season. He played like that for at least four, possibly more games. Incredible. Can you imagine the pain he must have had to endure, probably just even to take a snap. Not to mention all the hits that arm had to absorb along way. Whether the Cards win tomorrow or not, many kudos still to Kurt Warner. I do predict that the Cardinals and the Ravens will win tomorrow. Later frosh baby.
