i am somewhat dissapointed with the Spurs i mean sure they would be the 2 seed but they just dont look as good as advertised. i love the bobcats but they were lucky Boris Diaw missed that 3 yesterday. they have no center i mean Matt **** seriously. stilll with a 6-3 division record, 15-7 home and 12-6 road record with 27 wins but 13 losses. the 13 L's are what i am unhappy about i mean come on the spurs having already 13 losses. i do like though the emergence of young talent roger mason starts and has 12 ppg plus a crazy 46% from behind the arc. then theres george hjill this is a guy who was to go undrafted now look at him he has played in 38 games starting 6 and has 7.5 ppg. he is a rela spurs player gutssy and gritty. tim and parker both have 20 per roughly. i think they of course get it going for the playoffs but i kind of want more from them. this spurs team looks good but i dont see a western conference finals appearence in there future this year. it sounds weird but i dont have them as a top 5 team top 10 yes but not top 5.
Anyways back to the report. they have not been scoring well they are 21st in the league with 96.9 ppg as a team with a bad 75% team free throw % that will hurt them come the playoffs. they shoot a good 3 ball with a 40% 3pt % and a 46% fg% but its just these are only good and they are in the bottom half of the league in scoring and scoring matters. defense is there specialty in which they are 7th in the league. they ahve opponetnsts shooting 45% from the floor,76% from the charity strike and 37% from the 3 pt line. these are not great numbers besides the fact that opponents also get 94 ppg on them.
when its all said in done though the spurs will bounce back but only to the playoffs.
