Today i went to my yahoo email and on the front paige i saw some story about vandalism of donovan Mcnabb's house. being as curious as I am i clicked on it and the "YAHOO! SPORTS MINUITE" popped up. in this their was a poll next to the video clip. The poll said, "DO YOU LIKE THE BYE WEEK BEFORE THE SUPERBOWL?" I thought this question was a joke and i clicked my truthfull answer...yes. The poll results then popped up and said 40% like the bye week and 60% dont. when i read that i was confused if you don't like the bye week YOU ARE NOT A TRUE SPORTSFAN the superbowl needs a bye week before because these athletes need some rest, time to travel, time to practice, time to get used to the place their playing at, etc. With out the bye week ther athletes would be tired and not preform their at their best which is needed for their championship game. An example for the need of multiple bye weeks in a season is the baltimore ravens. they went 18 weeks and into the playoffs without a bye week which was faulted by the changing of their bye week into the third week of the season. with this long stretch of time the baltimore ravens players became fatigued and tired and couldnt play as hard. If they had a bye week at week 8 in the season they would have gone to the superbowl. this because the rookie quarterback joe flacco and veteran superstar safety ed reed weren't able to give it their best they lost to the pittsburg steelers in the AFC championship. My point of this rant is that the NFL needs to have a one week bye right before the post season for every team participating in the post season.
