Who to hate in Detroit | The Skippy Smithy Report

09:09 PM ET 01.22 | The media and the fans of the Detroit Lions have been on the war path towards Matt Millen after eight abysmal years with the organization in which no first round pick seems to have worked out and very little else seems to have gone their way. Matt Millen was no doubt a terrible GM, terrible probably doesn't describe it, his judgment of character and skill is as bad as we have ever seen. In 50 years the Lions have been to the playoffs 9 times, they have only won 1 of those 9 trips, what does that mean? It means that success has never been part of the formula in Detroit, it means that the William Clay Ford is the most inept owner in sports and has successfuly run the franchise into the ground continuously. So who is to blame in Detroit obviously Millen but more than Millen the Fords, if we can gain anything out of the failure of FORD motors it will be that the Fords will be forced to sell the Lions and maybe an owner who wishes to win some football games will get put into place, until that time it seems that no one will see a winning Detroit Lions. Jim Shwartz will be just like Marinelli, Mariucci and Ross, dead man walking.
