I've held off long enough talking about the Super Bowl.  Now, the time is right.  So, let's get to it..

When I think of this years Super Bowl, I in general don't get the same excited feeling about the Super Bowl as I have in other years.  However, as a sports fan I will be watching it.  So, I'll share my thoughts heading into this years installment of the Super Bowl.

Arizona's defense was pretty much invisible throughout the regular season.  While I give the Cardinals defense credit for being able to turn it on when they had to in the playoffs, I just don't see them being good enough to stop the Steelers offense.   I almost see trying to stop the Steelers offense as trying to stop a triple option offense...in one basic principle.  You have to stay at home, because Roethlisberger because he's so hard to bring down, and he has such good escapability skills, that you're almost better served having a weak pass rush against the Steelers.  You can't change who you are, and what you have.  The Cardinals don't have a very good defense..I still believe that.

This past regular season, the Cardinals run game was there, but they were a pass oriented team.  The Cardinals got to the Super Bowl basically with the pass, that's what they'll use when they're in the game I would imagine.  The fact that Edgerrin James found his ability to run the ball again this postseason I think helps a little bit.  But, in my opinion the Steelers defense is by far the best unit as whole in the NFL.  I see both Fitzgerald and Boldin having decent games, but Kurt Warner is going to have a long day, because the Cards won't be able to find a run game.

These are just my Super Bowl thoughts, feel free to tell me how wrong I am.
