Sorry I've been slacking off on the poker blogs, but the week has been pretty hectic.

Tonight the wife and I played in a $30 buy in game down at a friends house.  Two tables.  It paid top 3, and once again....the wife and I were in the money.  She got 3rd and I got 2nd.  That makes 4 games in a row that we both played in that we both made the money.  I think she's getting a good grasp on this game. 

The best part for me was that we started with 6500 chips, and with 6 people left, I had 8000 chips.  And that was the MOST chips I had at any point up until then.  And I still finished in second place.  It is just one more example of the part that I preach about the game concerning patience.  Playing with bad cards simply because you're not getting good cards is NEVER a good idea.   Be patient....good cards are coming.

So that's pretty must what I'm going to write tonight.  It was a great night, and a great way to end January.  I'm already up several hundred dollars, and the year is only 31 days old.  Its my goal this year to make a profit each and every month....and so far....I'm on track. 

I'll probably be writing more this week than last....but first, a little pause for the Super Bowl.  Enjoy the game tomorrow.
